Quaestor Coach enters the Swiss Asset Management Market

Diem Client Partner becomes a unique growth platform.

Quaestor Coach announced today that it has successfully entered the Swiss market with a first transaction. The first transaction Diem Client Partner (DCP), an independent asset management boutique for high net worth individuals and institutional investors based in Zurich, closed at the end of December 2021. Quaestor Coach is a Swiss-based passive independent private equity group specializing in a buy & build strategy in wealth management. With the support of Quaestor Coach, Diem Client Partner (DCP) will be the Swiss platform for a buy & build strategy aimed at capitalizing on emerging opportunities in wealth management consolidation in the local market. Building on its modern organization, its dynamic management team and its unique investment style, Diem Client Partner will provide an attractive platform to attract further independent asset managers. In doing so, Diem Client Partner is known for its active, income-oriented investment strategy with extensive expertise in hybrid bonds and equities plus options. Through the transaction, Quaestor Coach gains important key expertise in wealth management and comprehensive senior management capabilities in Switzerland. Diem Client Partner's DNA remains unchanged after the transaction: client-focused, independent and entrepreneurial. Likewise, the investment style and the existing team will remain in place. Diem Client Partner will additionally benefit from the complementary activities of the new shareholder in the areas of real estate and private equity. Thanks to the transaction, Diem Client Partner will be able to meet the diverse needs of its clients even better while creating additional value through inorganic growth strategies. Sascha Peier, CEO of Diem Client Partner, explains: "I could not have imagined a better and stronger entrepreneurial successor for our clients. The entire team is convinced of Mathias Vandermeeren's entrepreneurial spirit, which also puts the needs of our clients first". Mathias Vandermeeren, Acquisition Manager of Quaestor Coach states, "We are very pleased with the successful closing of the transaction with Diem Client Partner, as it represents the first milestone of our strategy in Switzerland. We were very impressed with the quality and team of Diem Client Partner throughout the process. We now look forward to working with Diem Client Partner's management team to create a unique growth platform in Switzerland and to take advantage of potential consolidation opportunities".
